Miniature Art Deco Dressing Table Workshop

With hinged mirror and five drawers. Customise it with your own mini collage.

The Workshop is designed and facilitated by Resident Miniaturist Elizabeth Joseph

Part of the Festival of Sleep at The Museum of the Home. What's the favourite piece of furniture in your bedroom? Elizabeth's is her Dressing Table that she inherited from a family friend. She will guide you as you make your own miniature Art Deco Dressing Table.

Measurements of the Dressing Table: Height: 26cm, Width: 17cm, Depth: 7cm.

All materials are provided: Plywood, acrylic, mirror Perspex, wood varnish, hinges, glitter, images for your mini collage, and Gift Box.

Each person will personalise their miniature with a collage on the top of the middle drawer. Using images of inspirational women and glitter and patterned card. All materials are provided, and you can also bring small flat items (like a feather, piece of fabric, leaf/dried flower or photo) to use in your collage if you wish.

The Workshop

Learn some new techniques to apply to your own creative projects. As you are guided through the Workshop, listen to ideas on how to make your own miniatures, based on objects with personal heritage and value that you own. (Suitable for ages 16+).




All Workshop materials are either reusable or recyclable.
